This hat is definitely something different and I love it. Working with off-team colors can be tricky but this gray plaid pattern with the touch of orange is absolutely perfect. This is an interesting pattern and this hat has a great deal of utility – I think a lady could dress this up but it still would look really sharp on a guy.

What we have today is a relatively edgy color blocked design. It isn't sitting with me well and I think the reason is that the angular color blocked effect is on both sides of the hat. If the entire right side was blue instead of a mirror of the left side, I would be all about this. Anyhow, I think this is a hat that will have a great appeal to younger fans. I also like how the reebok logo sits on this hat, it blends in a little bit more than normal.

Hey All – just wanted to link a cool video on NFL.com talking about why the Bears are set to be a great team this year. Worth a quick watch! View it here.

It's review time! First off, sorry for the poor resolution on this graphic, it was the best I could find at this hour. Anyhow, I gotta say, this is the best plain white had I have seen in quite a long time. The blue stitching looks really nice against the white hat, and the classic C logo sits just right. There isn't much to say about this hat but I think it speaks for itself!

Its about time we got back to reviewing whats new for this season. This new 2010 hat gives us a clean orange look going into summer training camp. What sticks out to me about this hat is that we are dealing with a 3 color Classic C logo. Personally, I am a little confused by the blue C outline here. It definitely helps the logo stick out but it seems off to me. That said, I think this hat will grow on me. You probably realize at this point that I am not a huge fan of those orange hats but its important to have one or two for Orange Crush situations, not to mention they fit right in at Illinois games.

So this is a new adventure for us here at Chicago Bears Hats blog – a straw hat. I think the concept is ok and I could see possibly wearing one of these in Bourbonnais but the look of the hat just doesnt do it for me. I think the navy blue band seems a bit too headband-ish for a straw hat. The colors are fine though, for whatever reason, I am intrigued by a blue straw hat. Is that even possible? Maybe we will find out.

I absolutely love this hat, even though I tend to believe you need to earn the look of a beat up hat, not buy it. Regardless, the combination of the distressed washed look, tattered stitching and old school bears head logo is just awesome. There is a 1920 emblem on the back of the hat refers to the founding year of the Bears (then the Decatur Staleys). This combination of design and tradition in this hat is absolutely excellent and I am giving this bad boy a 5 star rating as a result.

Part of the reason hats are such a big deal as a Chicago Bears fan is that we play outdoors. And in not just any outdoor stadium, but in Soldier Field, right outside the lake, where the wind and snow pummel us in the winter, and the sun beats and blinds us in the early fall. Hats are an essential form of element protection. That said, I don't think any of us would change this for the world!

This navy blue hat is really sharp looking with the exception of the high contrast reebok logo. I love the dark tone of the hat with the simple white threading and logo. The bears name is hard to make out but I think it works in the context of this design. It does make me wonder if they couldn't have made the blue a bit darker to create more of a true navy look. Either way, I think this hat is an excellent re-imagination of the traditional styled hats.
